If you can find an old MacMini Intel (on ebay) and prepared for a bit of tinkering then you can run natively FreeHand MX on an Intel box.
This will keep FreeHand MX alive and is very much RETRO Macintosh tinkering. Its also surprisingly fast in use, both to start up (in seconds) and in use.
I should point out that this is reverting back to 10.4 and this is a special SERVER version made for Intel macs. So it looks exactly like Tiger os until you make some serious tweaks to the system as outlined here; LEOPARD REBIRTH http://www.leopardrebirth.net/
Note: (ignore the fact that LEOPARD REBIRTH was made for PPC, --**it also works for Tiger Server 10.4**. I decided to test it on Tiger SERVER Intel and it all works fine! Its a set of TERMINAL scripts to hack the interface and GUI. All tested to work, although your mileage may vary...!
If you like a challenge and have the time, its a good project if your addicted to FreeHand and have some computer technical knowledge to hack (literally) 10.4 to look and behave as if it was Mac SIERRA. Plus you get to play with all your old Mac system Toys that you had working on a a PPC!!! Not all but most old system font managements, tweaks and utilities, I have used over twenty years. It was easy to update those that did not work and re-install them (if you have the old serial installation codes). Even so many of the old apps are now free if you search online.
In the meantime: here is a set of photographs to show you what to buy and how it works. It should work on Intel 10.4 and 10.5.
