Wasn't there supposed to be a beta available in August? It's now September.

Yes, there was. However, this was taken under the idea of having collected at least half of the amount we'd need to get a first step out the door, right now we're still missing about 10% of fundings to get further so we're slowed down again. This is the reason why we're actively looking for an investor now. We'll post some news about that soon as well as more or less reliable roadmap.

I pledged in mid-July and received an acknowledgment thanking me for my contribution and assuring me that I would be receiving a link to nightly builds "soon." There was no mention of that link being dependent on some arbitrary level of financial donations. Other notices stated that nightly builds would be made available in early August.

So far, what I've received for my support is nothing ... unless you count the rumored existence of maybe-ware with a really ugly-sounding name.
