What is stagestack? Is it freehand under new name and being redeveloped?

In a sense, YES. If you know the history, Adobe acquired Macromedia (developers of FreeHand) and officially mothballed development in 2007. They still sell it and support it (sort of) but it conflicts with their own Illustrator product. So while this organization used many means to get FreeHand back in development, there were too many "hooks" in the program to have that happen. Thus Stagestack (or whatever the final name will be) is an independently developed software based on the best qualities and ease-of-use of FreeHand MX with options for newer features. It will be immediately familiar to anyone who uses FreeHand.
