Reverting the name to Expressive?

Post by quasado »

Hi @all,

First, thank you all SO MUCH for participating for finding a new name for this project. We've figured that at the end, no one liked Stagestack so that's pretty much okay with us, we'd like to build a product you like from the very beginning so.. you need to be happy with the name as well :-)

However, we've received so many requests now to simply take back the "old" name Expressive. Do you think that's the right way? I mean, we don't want to change it over and over again but we do also not want to make a mistake and keep the name Stagestack just because of the sake of it.
One advantage is that we're having the Trademarks for Expressive as well as most stuff in our code is all named Expressive so that'd mean the least work for us, after all.

@FreeHandForum -> Should we make a simple vote whether people want to stick with the name Expressive and go back to it or want to suggest a new name?

@All -> thanks again and sorry for all those confusions the past days! Let's try to get the name thing to a final end right soon and get back to developing this beast :-)

Quasado Expressive.

Absolutely does it for me, no question.

It's simple, straightforward, highly justifiable, no clichés, rolls off the tongue, and sounds exactly like a real product and something I'd be ready to spend money on.
Wish I'd thought of it.

Loving the 'Q' logo, too.

Expressive is ok (Stagestock not), but I would also like something like WonderHand, Significart or AwesomeHand or the like.

Best regards,

I think “Expressive” would be ok, a far cry from “StageStack“. I find it too close to Xpress, though (which is cooler, too).

Anyway, I’d prefer Freestyle™.
In my ears a noun has more attitude and punch than an adjective.

I like Expressive better than Stagestack, but I don't really love Expressive. Does this cause anyone any concern?

Expressive is (nearly) perfect.
But what about the ipad/ipod app with the same name?
