Help rename Stagestack/Expressive
Re: Help rename Stagestack/Expressive
"Free" anyway is a misleading word. People refer to it as a free application, or something cheap that is not professional.

Re: Help rename Stagestack/Expressive
One comes to mind:
"Delineator" It is the noun for the verb delineate. Dictionary gives these definitions:
The word is 16th century and derived from latin from 'de' = out and 'lineate' = line. Therefore it means 'outline'.
Google comes up dictionary referrals and the use of it in parking 'Delineate markers'. So not much being used in the sense of drawing.
Delineator to me rhymes with "Terminator" and "Illustrator" and gives the sense of "this is it". But I will think of a few more when I get the chance

the aims of the study as delineated by the boss: describe, set forth/out, present, outline, sketch, depict, represent; map out, define, specify, identify.
a section delineated in red pen: outline, trace, block in, mark (out/off), delimit.

Demiurg
is what I suggest.
I couldn't believe the URL is not taken.
The word originally means "craftsman" but today means someone who creates entire new worlds (isn't that what we intend to do with the new program?)
I would love a name that is more deep and goes away from things that sound like "coreldraw" and "sketchup"
I quite liked "Expressive" and I also liked "Epitome" that has been suggested earlier.

Re: Help rename Stagestack/Expressive
First of all, thanks to Quasado for being open minded, that ' s a positive message.
Here is my proposal around the name "desire" :
D-zire (D for Design)
Diizire
Dezir (unfortunately a concept car name from Renault)
This name can be pronounced in every language.
I have to admit "Expressive" sounded good to me
My feeling is we should avoid words like "vector" which sound a bit too technical /80's… too old (even if I am still listening music from the underground 80's)
