Hello all,
I'd like to officially announce Gravit, a design tool goaled towards print as well as screen design and event prototyping in the Spirit of Freehand and Fireworks.
We've recently published an early alpha version which you can try online by going to
http://www.gravit.io
As you can see, the following features are implemented and working closely / equal to Freehand and / or Fireworks:
- Multiple Pages
- RGB, CMYK colors in same document
- Path Tool
- Bezigon Tool
- Path Editing
- Ellipse Editor
- Rectangle Editor
- more
Have a look at it and let us know what you think
Alex
Gravit - Official Announcement
Re: Gravit - Official Announcement
Wow, great start.
Drawing feels just like freehand.
One question. I haven't figured out how to apply a color fill or color lines?
Save or export doesn't seem to be ready yet.

Thanks. Path handling is still a bit buggy though we're on fixing those things.Pixero wrote:Wow, great start.

For now, the style UI is still missing though you can actually simply drop colors from anywhere on either contour or fill.

Ah, I found the YouTube clips but it didn't work so I tried with Chrome instead of InternetExplorer and now it works.
Must be IE that doesnt work well.
Can you adjust line thickness?
What save and export formats are you going to implement?
I really like the feel of it. Some UI quirks but I guess they'll be smoothed out later on...

Could be, heavily untested on IE, only Chrome and Firefox.Pixero wrote:Ah, I found the YouTube clips but it didn't work so I tried with Chrome instead of InternetExplorer and now it works.

Not yet, working on style UI right now.Pixero wrote:Can you adjust line thickness?
Save format is our internal, human-readable gravit format. Export will be Raster (PNG,JPG,etc.), PDF and interactive SVG.Pixero wrote:What save and export formats are you going to implement?

Sounds good.
I think some sort of save and export would be good to have early on to attract users to try it if you can do something and actually save it.
You might get more and better feedback that way.
Still a great start. I just tried the polygon tool and wow, just wow.
