Fonts not showing
I'm having a problem in FreeHand 10 which I never used to have but which now seems to be getting worse and worse. I'm installing fonts and they're not showing up in FreeHand but they work in other applications. Sometimes if I use FontNuke to clear the caches and restart then they show, sometimes they don't. Have tried converting from otf to ttf and vice versa but doesn't seem to make a difference. There must be something corrupted in FreeHand but I don't know what. It's driving me insane - can anyone help?
Re: Fonts not showing
I don't know about FH10 but in FHMX opentype fonts, OTF, will not work. I'd guess it is the same in FH10.
Don't convert the OTF file to TTF. Try an original TTF and see if that works first. It may be some lingering code that is left behind in your font conversion.

Re: Fonts not showing
In the end, I just moved all fonts out of my font library and installed them one by one again as I needed them.

Re: Fonts not showing
doing it one-by-one takes too much time. Is this the only option we have so far?
Re: Fonts not showing
Try using a font manager
Freehand Design recommends using Linotype FontExplorer X v.1.2.3 (Mac) which is free and excellent. It only works up to Snow Leopard.

If you are running FH within a VM look here for more info http://osxfh.com/fonts-fonts-fonts-adding-installing-moving/

Re: Fonts not showing
I am able to use many Opentype fonts in FHMX, both in native Snow Leopard as well as the VM environment of Parallels 13 / Snow Leopard Server. Not only will they set, they can be converted to paths.
