Can't get Freehand to open any files

Can't get Freehand to open any files

I went to import a file and got "could not complete your request because an unknown command was encountered"
Can not open anything at all. Tried uninstalling and it won't let me do that either. Running Windows 7.
It seems to think there is still a file open but I can't access it to do anything.
ANY help would be appreciated as I love this program.

Can you give more detail. Are you opening a FreeHand file or something else? (eps, Illustrator, etc.) Take a look at this thread on the Adobe forum as it might apply to your problem here:
