Hello Mark, do you have any information about the developpment of this new application. If this one could open FreeHAnd files it could be a miracle
"Creating a new application
The lawsuit is not the only thing going on right now. A team of developers is working on a new vector graphics application with their goal to create something that feels familiar to FreeHand users. Their application has been in the making for quite some time and the core is CMYK capable and ready to draw vector paths. They are currently adding color filling capabilities and will issue a Mac and Windows early beta version for us to try – we will inform you about the details as we hear back from them."

I'm also very interested in this, and if possible, would like to help with input and testing.

Re: Newsletter from january 2012
Hey Bruno, Hey Jan—
I don't have much knowledge on this project except it is in very early development and rather rudimentary. FFH isn't a part of the project as our aim is still directed at Adobe itself. What I can say is we are in Mediation with Adobe and have been for several weeks now. Neither side wants to go to trial (which is the point of a Mediation) and the Court wants the two parties to work out a solution—if at all possible—to avoid a lengthy and expensive trial.
An extension to the Mediation was proposed to find some compromise that FreeHand users and Adobe could live with and we are speaking with each other. We will let everybody know with an upcoming newsletter once some agreement is reached. It is just too early in the game right now.

I am scared that Time is the main fatal weapon for Adobe to kill our beloved FreeHand.
