Hello from the Caribbean. I'm a FH user for more than 10 years, currently I work on an iMac with Intel CPU and OSX 10.6.8, and prefer FreeHand over AI despite having them both installed. This is an emergency.
Everything today (Feb 2) went as normal, until Apple's latest update turned FreeHand into a living dead. I tried exporting a file to EPS, and crashed. Reopened, tried again and crashed again. Opened a new document, tried saving, and crashed. Restarted, did it all again and failed.
It seems the problem is triggered when it tries to display an OS dialog box (open, save as, import, etc). Now in order to create a new document I have to duplicate and rename an existing file then work on it, and I can only import images by dragging them in. When I want to export to EPS, I must make a duplicate, convert it to paths and open it in Illustrator.
Do those people know what they're doing to the rest of us who trust FreeHand to keep up with deadlines and last-minute changes? To us who almost don't care about Illustrator?
Can anybody help?
