Hallo zusammen,

I think the problem is FreeHand was in trial mode for 30 days. Read this article by Adobe and enter in the new Activation number:I tried for some time my beloved FreeHand MX on a MacBook Air (2014) using Parallels 11 to get started. I followed the installation instructions on macstrategy.com. Everything went quite smoothly, the installation of FreeHand was successful, was not asked once for the serial number. I now have FH in the dock, and click to open but NOTHING happened. FreeHand does not open. Does anyone know why this is? Do I need a different download file from Freehand? I have nothing to Maverick running the absolutely. Hopefully someone can help me here! Thank you for tips!

Re: FH öffnet nicht in Parallels 11 auf MacBook Air
The Trial Version should not be the Problem. I downloaded FH yesterday.
FH has not yet been worked. The FH Icon in the Dock ist just bouncing 2-3x and then nothing happens. No warning message or anything else.

Did you use this serial number? FHD110-58402-67227-68568
Re: FH öffnet nicht in Parallels 11 auf MacBook Air
No, at the installions process FH did never asked about a serialnumber. At because i Cant open FH, theres no opportunity to type a serialnumber.
Re: FH öffnet nicht in Parallels 11 auf MacBook Air
OK, here is another solution from a FreeHand user:
I think it is still looking for a serial number to validate so if you get FreeHand to open use the # I gave you in last post. Good luck!
After starting Freehand start Activity Monitor and find the process AuthenticationS (or something like that). You'll find it by sorting by CPU activity. It'll be the process using the most CPU. If I Force Quit it Freehand starts without a problem for me and will keep starting up without a problem until I reboot.
For some reason Freehand will wait for a response to whatever it is that AuthenticationS wants until hell freezes over. But since there is no visible panel to respond to force quitting seems the only solution I've found. Lucky it works at least for me.
Hope this helps.

Hi, that makes sense why FreeHand will not boot up for you. If I remember, Rosetta must be selected during the installation of 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. By default, it is turned off.jubeko wrote:Maybe there`s no Rosetta on 10.6.8 ??

Read this article on Macworld to install Rosetta:
